To conduct synergistic experimental and numerical investigations, the E²M Lab. has both experimental and numerical capabilities, which are presented below.

EXPERIMENTAL EQUIPMENTS

E²ML has two spaces in which we have diverse pieces of equipment that allow us to investigate the thermo-mechanical behavior of materials.

  • Creep Frame
  • DSC-TGA Analyzer
  • 3D High Temperature Micro-Macro Digital Correlation (coming)
  • Thermal Imager from -10°C to 1200°C
  • Fatigue Frame
  • Centrifugal Disk Finisher

SIMULATION EQUIPMENTS

E²ML has access to multiple clusters.

They are used to carry on crystal plasticity finite element and face field simulations in 3D.
